Schedule, route, category pricing and race-day rules for the 2026 edition of Sunrise City Marathon in Bengaluru.

Race-day schedule

  • Gates open

    Baggage counters and start-line entry open at Cubbon Park Gate, Kasturba Road.

  • Warm-up & category line-up

    Runners assemble in their category pens; pacers join their groups.

  • 21K Half Marathon flag-off

    Half marathon runners start first, followed by 10K and 5K in waves.

  • 10K & 5K flag-off

    Shorter categories start once the road ahead has cleared.

  • Cut-off & road reopen

    Roads reopen to traffic; finish-line breakfast continues until 10:30.

  • Awards ceremony

    Category winners and top finishers are felicitated on the main stage.

The route

All three categories share a single closed-road loop through Bengaluru, starting and finishing at Cubbon Park Gate, Kasturba Road. The 5K and 10K are subsets of the same loop used for the 21K, so shorter-distance runners peel off toward the finish at their marked turnaround point.

Race-day rules

  • Bib numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt and visible at all times.
  • Bibs are non-transferable and tied to the name used at registration.
  • Personal music players are allowed at low volume; stay aware of race marshals and traffic.
  • Cut-off times apply at each checkpoint; sweep vehicles pick up runners past cut-off.
  • Baggage counters accept one bag per runner, tagged with your bib number.
  • Medical support is available at every hydration point and the finish line.

FAQ

  • Can I change my category after registering?
    Email info@sunrisecitymarathon.example at least 10 days before race day; a small difference in fee may apply.
  • Is there a minimum age?
    14 years for the 5K and 10K, 18 years for the 21K half marathon.
  • Where do I collect my bib and T-shirt?
    At the pre-race bib expo, details of which are emailed to all registered runners.
  • Are refunds available?
    Entry fees are non-refundable but transferable to next year's edition on request.
